Very nice, fittingly icy cover. The story line-up looks solid, too. Can't wait to read it. I also like that one of the tales has an illustration. Very cool. Happy 50th, and congrats!!

Congratulations on Issue #50! I love the cover art. We're getting -0 weather up here in Northern Michigan, so it seems fitting. Looks like I'll be doing some reading tonight.

I don't know if y'all know how I get the covers, but when I go looking, I try to get one good cover out of a number of pings. In my case, I tracked down a number of covers I thought might work for the december issue. I sent out the first couple of queries and got no reply. It got closer to time to go live and I still didn't have any bites, so I started sending out a bunch of queries, trying to get just one cover in time for Christmas. Of course, what happened then is that I got, like, four replies that I had to figure what to do with.

This one looked liked January to me, and so, voila!, here we are. I also have a perfect February cover lined up, as well.

Ray Gun Revival has been -and still is! - proud to give new and upcoming writers a chance, but it's nice to know we're starting to gain the attention of more established writers as well.

With that, I'd like to point out that Issue #50 has a story by Lou Antonelli in it: "The Silver Dollar Saucer."

Yes, the Lou Antonelli!

I never heard of him before. But I remember the story. I thought it was funny and great. Especially look out for a reference to "coal." Wink

Well, there are so many authors of note out there, and many I've not heard of, or if I have, I haven't yet read their stuff. No way to keep up.

But I did know of Lou Antonelli and when he joined the forum, I did a triple take, and even IMed Phy and asked, "Is that the REAL Lou Antonelli that just registered?" Sure enough.

And I did love the story. The Slushmasters did too -- good thing for their puny planets! Twisted Evil

In Silver Dollar Saucer, i really liked how the author worked the Russian meteor explosion into it. I watched a documentory on that a while back.
